Metal Die Casting Services

Metal Die Casting Services is a popular method for making large quantities of intricate metal parts because it’s versatile, reliable, and precise. It reduces the need for extra steps in manufacturing, though some parts may still need additional machining for precise tolerances. After casting, parts can be finished to match those made with CNC machining.

Customers We Serve

Like injection molding, die casting involves creating a mold tool, or die, which can have one or more cavities. This process is effective for softer alloys like aluminum and zinc because they melt at lower temperatures. Molten metal is injected into the die cavity, taking the shape of the part before solidifying.

Die casting can be done under lower high pressure, using a spoon or plunger to inject the metal. It consistently produces complex, precise parts in large quantities. Modern techniques like squeeze casting and semi-solid metal casting ensure high-quality parts for various industries.

Our project managers and experts personally review and manually quote each die-casting project to ensure we meet your unique needs while providing a fast and easy manufacturing experience.

Once satisfied with your samples, we move forward with production and deliver the parts.

The versatility and high production potential of die casting enable it for various applications and industries. Die-casting products that are small to medium in size with complex features are typically well-suited for the process. Examples include consumer and industrial products, automotive parts, aerospace components, and parts for medical devices.

Die-casting products are a great option when you need high-volume metal parts that may be too large for similar high-volume processes such as Metal Injection Molding (MIM).

Aluminum Die Casting FAQ

China has been using the aluminum alloy 6061 gravity die-casting process for thousands of years. The casting process is when liquid metal is poured into a mold that contains a three-dimensional impression of the intended shape. The metal is then cooled, and the mold is removed leaving the “casted” metal part.

Creating the die requires upfront time and resource investment, but once it’s created, tens of thousands of identical parts can be manufactured at a relatively low per-part cost. Die casting may be more cost-effective in terms of volume, but CNC machining offsets the die cost.
